Who’s the nerd behind the site…

My name is Stefan Dauaard Poulsen and I am currently living in the outskirt of Aarhus in Denmark. I was born in 1980 so it’s been a few years by now, as far as I remember I got my first computer for christmas back in 1986 and it was a Commodore 64. When we hit the 90′s (or at the end of the 80′s I’m not sure) I switch to the Amiga which was my brand until 1999. I was really late in on the whole PC movement and I really being mocked for not having one…not that I really cared. When I look back at the times where the hobby machine switched for Amiga to PC I would say that it was around 95/96. Especially I recall The Party having 97-99% Amigas in 95 and when I came back in 96 it was more a tip to 95% PCs, really fast change back then.

You might thing that I was developing on my computers back then….noooooooot so much. My first line of code was written when I started my AP in Computer Science back in 2001, since then it have been one crazy ride working with everything from implementing POP3, writing imageservers, custom catalogue builders and allot more. Roughly since 2008 or so I have become more focused on writing better software cause the stuff I did before that was very much hack’n'slash code. I guess we all get wiser over time.

Besides being a major programming geek I spend time doing CrossFit at my local box (Spartan Mentality CrossFit) and I help out at a center for scouts…pretty much we maintain the buildings, outdoor areas etc. When I’m not in Denmark it is very likely that you can find me driving a dogsled or a snowmobile in Northern Sweden.
